Wearable Art Hand Felted Fascinator Perch Church Hat Start Price USD 125.00 Current Price USD 125.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, September 30, 2008 End Time Thursday, October 30, 2008 Location Lakewood, Ohio See more about 'Wearable Art Hand Felted Fascinator Perch Church Hat' Description Black Wool Felt Fascinator Perch Cloche Church Hat     Today’s auction is one of my unique Hand Blocked hat.   I first start with a 100% Black Wool Felt hat body and stretch over one of my hand built ceramic blocks.  This hat is a perch hat. This hat perches the hat, so hat sizes really aren’t important with this hat. All you need is a desire to be unique.   Some ladies might need an extra bit of hat security, so you can secured the hat with a 3.5 inch hat comb sewn into the inside crown.   The most unique feature to this hat is one of my trademark leather flower arrangement with a felted stem.   This 9 inch multi-color pigskin leather flower has an overwhelming presence on this hat.  Each petal is 4 inches long and can be formed into a variety of shapes; when the flower is closed it is black.   The petals open to an array of colors.   The muted purple 4 inch felted stem is comprised of 100% Alpaca roving Wool.  I use a very sharp barbed felting nettle to give the stem sculptural form.  This is a very sculptural piece.  The crown is embellished with 2mm black leather cord.  Each hat is steamed cleaned and wrapped in plastic to ensure a fresh and sanitary hat.    Check out my other auctions in my ebay store     olmec2164 Store Place a Bid!
