My Mom was a Debutant from Dallas . . . having graduated from finishing school she was a rare breed who possessed impeccable social graces along with a strong desire to have a grand ol’ time and be the life of the party whenever she was entertaining . . . she wore this Fabulous 70’s Lilly number over her swimsuit during those hot New England summers . . . she and Daddy often had cocktail parties that started just before dusk . . . I remember her vividly in this . . . Benson and Hedges Ultralight in one hand. Whisky and soda in the other . . . but I digress . . . though she smoked, there are neither burns nor an unpleasant smoky odor to this piece. It is pristine as a matter of fact with no stains, tears, damaged seams or hems, no pet hair either. You can hardly tell that this was ever worn. It has been hanging in its dry-cleaning bag for decades before Mother passed in ’95. I believe it was made in the 70’s though it could be a late 60’s piece. I can’t find any info on it. It is about a size 10/12 (no size label) with a measurement of 48 inches from under the arm (which is actually way below ones actual underarm). It also has on either side, a slit that measures 24 inches from the bottom hem. If you have any questions concerning anything I didn’t cover here, please ask away.
