A vintage Gucci handbag in the style of a saddle, made from elephant skin. Very good condition with some age-related soiling and pen marks inside - which could probably be cleaned but I have never attempted to. Turnlock fastening on outer flap is marked 'Gucci' and there is a Gucci metal plaque inside the bag also. The strap can be doubled so as to carry it in the hand, or it can be simply adjusted with a pull of the hand to a longer strap to carry on the shoulder. I believe this item was 'special order' only, many years ago. I am not sure of it's exact age - I imagine it is from the 70's ???
