This striking and stylish piece is sure to make you stand out from the crowd for all the right reasons..!! This collectable briefcase is of the 1970s era, which is evident in its chic, retro styling. Elephant skin is particularly thick and durable by nature, as well as timeless, so it will keep you in vogue for many years to come, making it a real investment piece!! As on all vintage items, this briecase does bear signs of use and aging. There is gentle wear throughout, such as marks, scuffs, blemishes and colour variations, but this is mostly cosmetic. The wear is evident particularly on the corners, which are scuffed. The handle has darkened/ oxidised with use and the elephant skin if coming away slightly around the back corners. Inside, there are some pen marks and dirty patches, although nothing overly alarming, There is some damage around the rim inside as depicted in the photos. On the inside of the lid there are compartments, secured with an elphant strip and [functional] poppers. The top of these sections are trimmed with elephant, but the bottom are not and are subsequently fraying, although this does not effect the items usability. The locks and combination work well but the springs in the locks no longer function. The handle is strong and the hinge inside is functional. Although it is not perfect, this stupendous item was clearly built to last and has character and charm like you wouldn't believe..!!
