Thank you!Elisa I took victorian to the next level here! This dress renders people SPEECHLESS, and I am sooo proud of it! Bear with me as I try to explain this otherworldly creation :) This is a prototype for my "Polly Nichols" ensemble, part of the "East End Unfortunates" line that will debut on my website in the summer/fall. This dress is made from historically accurate patterns. It is made to fit over a corset, but if you can fit it without it should be fine as the top is boned and has three layers to keep a good shape. THIS WILL BE CUSTOM MADE TO YOUR MEASUREMENTS AND IN THE FABRICS YOU CHOOSE!!! :) Fabrics include silk, taffeta, PVC, ect but do NOT include super fancy fabrics like embroidered silk, beaded fabrics, ect. but these can be used for an extra fee! Please email with any questions :) I kept the description from the original auction. Please keep in mind this is for a custom creation. ALSO PLEASE NOTE! I cannot get that green taffeta anymore, so please keep this in mind! I can find fabric similiar but not the same, please email with any questions! The underskirt is black PVC with a knit backing. It is an A-line with a wide ruffle long the bottom measuring over 200". Very heavy and sweeping! The top of the ruffle is trimmed with black organza ribbon with black braided trim running down the middle. The waistband closes with hook and eyes. Looks smashing by itself, imagine the skirt with a bright red corset and you'll knock 'em all down! The overskirt is a classic bustle skirt, with a swagged front and side pleats, and the back is pulled up by ribbons. The PVC underskirt does not allow for a bustle, but you could wear a bustle pillow underneath this overskirt to hold the dress out. But I think it looks fine down, too, Im just suggesting. The overskirt front is trimmed with gathered organza ribbon with trim down the middle. The top is soooo.....uhm....think of any big word and it should fit here! The top in interlined with raw silk and lined with 100% cotton for breathability. The seams are all boned as well. The top features a high victorian collar, contrast vest front, 12 buttons, gathered organza trim and loose box pleats in the back. Check out the pictures but you have nooo idea how awesome this is in person!
