Victorian Dress No Bustle Needed SASS Post Civil War Start Price USD 124.99 Current Price USD 124.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price USD 124.99 Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, September 04, 2008 End Time Sunday, September 07, 2008 Location little yellow house See more about 'Victorian Dress No Bustle Needed SASS Post Civil War' Description Up for auction today is a late victorian dress.  The colors are rich and beautiful, perfect for this time of year.  The bodice is a natural form fitting and no bustle is needed when wearing it.  The colors are olive green and a true MAUVE color.  I know it looks pink and too bright for the printed fabric, but my camera just wouldn't cooperate.  The print has greens, mauves and wine colors.   The pieces include: A Lined Bodice Skirt Reticule  A Small Amount of Extra Fabric and Trims.     The lined bodice is made from the solid mauve and olive green mentioned above.  It closes up the front with antique gold colored buttons and I have sewn coordinating trim down the front and back where the colors come together.  The high neckline has a collar made from the printed fabric.  The full length sleeves have a cuff at the bottom also made from the printed fabric.  The same trim has been sewn around the top of the cuff.  It will be lovely worn alone or with a blouse under with ruffles peeking through.  As I said this is made from a natural form pattern and needs no bustle.  The bodice measures: Bust: 40" and the Waist 34"---Please allow for ease of wear.  Meaning add at least 2" to your actual measurements. The skirt has a wide ruffle on the bottom and has a triple layered loop fringe trim sewn on at the gathering point. It is gathered at the waist with draw string elastic.  A great feature to make life more comfortable!!  Also included in this auction is a matching reticule and the extra fabric and trim left over from making the dress.    This dress is shown over a petticoat which is not included.
