The  previous winning bidder did not pay on this item so it's back up for sale again . Item  v-2270 This is a brand new, reproduction, Victorian style, two-piece, dark blue damask day dress or tea gown accented with black lace and braid. The fully lined and lightly boned bodice has a modest V neckline with a pleated stand up collar. It is edged with a double band of hand pleated narrow venice lace that is overlaid with a narrow braiding The sleeves come to below the elbow and are edged with a pleated cuff that is overlaid with the narrow lace and braid and this is over a generous gathered wide venice lace ruffle. There is also a vertical lace detailing that comes from the shoulder to the cuff The back of the bodice drapes over the bustled skirt and is finished with a pleated panel and lace detail. This bodice buttons up the centre front with small black faceted buttons. The fully lined skirt has a wide pleated edge, overlaid with the narrow lace and braid.  The attached back overskirt gathers up to enhance the bustled effect. This dress fits a bust size 38" 96.5 cm, waist size 30" 76cm and measures 41 1/2" 105.5cm long from the waistband to hem at the centre front and is slightly longer in the back to accommodate the bustle.
