Each piece of  handmade embroidery is a real masterpiece, which has been made with skill and love. The Uzbek embroidered samples amaze with the skill of embroidery and a variety of patterns, that is why it became so popular all over the world. This one item is a perfect sample of Uzbek-Tadjik Silk handmade embroidery called "Sayo-Gosha". The region of the item is Dushanbe, Tadjikistan. The approximate date  of producing the item is 1970s. Such small textile is a part of the coverlet that was used for covering the beddings, that were stored in yurts during the day. They were kept in piles against the wall, covered with bugjama. And one corner of Bugjama used to be decorated with the small "sayo-gosha". The Silk embroidery is hand-stitched on artificial silk  fabric. The pattern of the embroidery is composed of rich multicolored blossoms and geometric medallions. The edges of the item are decorated with nice handmade fringe with beaded tassels. The item is lined with printed cotton cloth. Bright colors and nice design create a marvelous decorative effect. Stitches: couching.App. Size: 32.5'' x 35" Condition:  good, has some pen marks.
