It is in knife-pleated, heavy black cotton, with cotton black lace edging, and coloured geometric embroidery. In excellent vintage condition -no damage, only some fading on waistband..this is very ironic as the ribbon waistband and apron ties have been added by machine, at a later date.I have no certain date for this apron, which belonged to the family of my Hungarian friend, from Transylvania. He thinks it dates from circa 1920s.I have had these clothes authenticated by an expert (Countess Bethlen, at the Gobe folk museum, Hungary).Please look at my other listings, as I have some other clothes from the same provenance.
