This listing is for a Civil War style French light corset which will be custom made to fit the measurements provided by the winning bidder. I use brushed twill in 100% cotton for these one layer corsets and corset boning tape on the inside to run the 1/4" wide white steel bones through. There are sixteen bones in the corset in addition to the metal front closure busk. The lacing is one long lace with loops that wrap around the waist and tie in front--a period treatment. You may also choose whether or not you want the eyelet beading at the top and if so, what color ribbon you want through it. I have made hundreds of these for very satisfied customers. The corset pattern will be drafted to your measurements and it will take about 4 weeks to complete it after I receive your payment and the measurements I require. I will email the winning bidder with detailed measuring instructions at the close of the auction. Please note, this is a high fashion corset meant to be worn for more genteel activities with dressier dresses and not for slopping the hogs, cooking or any activity which requires a lot of bending as the boning in the corset will make that uncomfortable. For a heavier working impression, I recommend corded stays or a more lightly boned corset which are much more forgiving.
