Bodice has 2 rows of 1/2" spring steel boning at the front by the lacing grommets. Separate drawstring underskirt is made from copper crinkle taffeta. Dress is trimmed in metallic copper, royal blue and black Celtic knotwork jacquard trim and is finished with black grommets and black lacing cord tipped with copper aglets. Actual measurements are bust 39", waist 34", waist to serged bottom edge 42". Matching bell shaped tie-on sleeves are made from the same fabric and trim as the dress. They lace to the dress shoulders with coppertone rings that have been hand-sewn, which is more historically accurate than using grommets in the shoulders, and also allows the dress to be worn attractively without sleeves if desired.
