Even Sally's Beauty Supply sells hair extensions as Remy and trust me they are NOT.  They sell their human hair extensions for $150.00 with the words REMY and tangle free right on the front.  I am just trying to let you be aware that anybody can say their hair is Remy, even if it is not.Remy means that all of the cuticles on the hair shaft face the same direction, and if they do not you get "birds nest hair."  Cuticles are the outer layer that protects the hair shaft.  They are also the little things that open up and let a chemical process in, and with each chemical process remain open a little bit more causing our hair to appear more damaged and less shiny. The 2 Week Tangles:That big, huge, messy, blob of tangled hair that so many of us have become victims to just 2 weeks after application of extensions is Chinese hair being marketed online as Remy hair.  Yes, even good hair will get some tangles but at the end of the day it can still be brushed out in just a few seconds verses a half and hour to an hour only to tangle up again as soon as you move. Remy hair is taken from its donor and kept in the direction it was donated in from donation to application. Hair is either single drawn (one donor) or double drawn (2 or more donors).
