This authentic reproduction is made of high quality, military weight Confederate Gray (medium gray) wool, and with red wool collar and cuffs.  The jacket has seven brass "CSA" buttons down the front.   It does not have shoulder straps or belt loops.   It is period-correct in all respects. By the way, some Sutlers sell unlined Confederate shell jackets. These are NOT period correct, as all surviving Confederate shell jackets are in fact lined, and there is no evidence the Confederacy ever issued unlined shell jackets to it's troops.  All Confederate shell jackets sold by Butternuts and Bluecoats are fully lined in cotton cloth, with interior pockets, just like the originals.  And we sell them for just about the same price, and in some cases less, than you'd pay one of those other Sutlers for a non-period correct unlined jacket.  Why would you buy your Confederate shell jacket anywhere else?  We have these fine jackets in most even chest sizes from 38" to 50" (Except sizes 38 and 46, which are sold out...The seller will contact the buyer to determine the correct size needed prior to shipment.
