I believe it could be removed, I just have not tried. It is much more visible in the photo than in person.  Magnetic snap closure under flap.  Inside, tan fabric lined, with leather"Mondi Accessories"logo on slip pocket. The belt is leather lined. Matching snake-pattern embossed leather. There are some tiny variations in the leather, nothing I view as a distraction from it's quality and charm.   Check my other listings for other  Escada items.
