It is truly beautiful, and very hard to capture the hue correctly on camera or computer!  The fabric is lightweight for comfort, but body to hang elegantly. The bodice is lightly boned, and lined in white cotton batiste.  The front closes with hook-and-bar closures and has self-fabric covered buttons, which is consistant with designs of the Civil War era.  The pagoda sleeves have a strip of the stitched material near the hem.  The bodice forms a crisp "V" in the front and back - very flattering to the figure! The full skirt (177 inches circumf.) features a strip of the stitched trim near the hem and gathers with tiny pleats into a waistband which fastens with a hook-and-bar closure.  The beautiful undersleeves are of crisp white cotton batiste which gather into a ribbon drawstring at the upper arm - (again, authentic --no elastic!).  The cuff is exquisitely embroidered in a floral design - perfect for those special tea dates, church, or just visiting.
