Bill Blass sold sketches to this company when he was just a young man newly imported to the US and I can’t tellyou how this gown is just an amazing piece of history. Kalmour was a NY based company that housed many gowns from the 30s and on. The ostrich feathers are pieced and sewn onto the thin strap at the shoulders and then scattered around the bottom of the dress. Hoop skirt included with dress and is red carpet ready. Side metal zipper with eye hook closure at top and middle of zipper. I have not professionally cleaned this dress because of the construction and material. Very good condition with no tears or holes, some small repairs have been done. Small staining and discoloration mainly around bottom but consider piece very wearable. Labeled Original Kalmour Gown.
