About the auction item: Up for auction is this OOAK Designer Original Kimono Duster from JohnSun Silks. This jacket is kimono style with full cut sleeves, with an open front that can be tied, it is floor length. Attention to detail is incredible in this garment, with amazing touches like French seams. The process for making this garment is amazing. First white 100% silk chiffon lengths (panels) are stretched on frames and hand painted by designer John Sun himself with beautiful french dyes. The richness of this purple is stunning (which doesn't photograph as pretty as it is in person). After the painted panels dry, they goes thru a 6 day steaming washing and drying sequence that sets in the colors to the fabric. Then the fabric is cut and sewn into this amazing garment. As mentioned it is 100% silk chiffon (light & airy), which must be dry cleaned. This was worn maybe 2 or 3 times and is in like new condition Original price for this Kimono Duster was $965.00, hence the high starting price. This fits size 5X, 6X 7X.
