Never worn, beautiful, luxurious Dia North of Boston pullover for child, size 2- see measurements. “SUNFLOWER”, handknitted intarsia pattern. From the 1992 collection! Gorgeous, creamy off-white field with green sunflower stalk and leaf pattern intarsia extends down the front center, along the entire length of  center of back with  taupe, black, and “sunflower yellow” accent detail along shoulder to define lines. Exquisite ribbing, cuffs, crochet neckline detail. Two fully functional handpainted WOOD buttons as sunflowers on left shoulder to ease putting on and taking off.  Dia used wood buttons on her children’s sizes; as the porcelain ones are too fragile for little ones. Very few children’s sizes were made.  They were made especially for a handful of fine specialty boutiques and trunk shows. What a find! Beautiful hand-crochet detailed jewel neck and along the button shoulder. Subtle and simple and fun! Handpainted wood buttons, sunflower blossoms, yellow with black centers. A true cottage industry- Dia North of Boston sweaters were hand knitted in Stowe, Vermont, USA in copyrighted limited editions of no more 500 among all colors, including the ladies’ as well as the occasional children’s sizes combined. Some editions were much smaller in number, usually 250.
