As a full-time professional designer/seamstress and take great care in every detail of my gowns. This 6 piece Civil War Day Dress is perfect for the Re-enactor. I am including the sleeves, collar, Bodice, Skirt and cameo shown in this auction. I have a Ballgown made from the same fabric which will be up for sale in another auction. All pieces could be intermixed for additional wardrobe changes.  This can also be mixed and matched with a solid colored skirt or bodice for a totally different look. My costumes are built to last and be noticed. I use high grade materials and finish all seams for durability with hopes of them becoming antiques themselves one day. This gown is made from yards and yards of  heavy weight, black and white striped and solid fabrics which can be hand washed to save on expensive dry cleaning bills .  The bodice is lined in a light weight satin, inner-lined and interfaced for control but is not boned for day wear comfort. The full pagoda sleeves are also lined but with matching floral cotton ( liked the inner sleeves and collar are made from) and detailed with looped and  braided trim.The tie-on under sleeves measure 20 " in length and the collar ties around the neck in the back. Both of these are made from a white on white floral cotton.  The buttons used on the bodice are made of a bronze metal with mother of pearl centers. I also added appliques to the bodice collar to 'pretty' it up.( Hooks added but NO velcro,elastic or zipper etc)      The skirt has a hooked waistband which closes on the left side . There are just so many details, I'm hoping the photos display them for you. I am showing this gown over my personal  hoop and crinoline which can easily be duplicated with your own undergarments.  I would recommend taking your measurements with the correct under garments to be sure of a proper fit.  The Bodice will fit up to a 37" bust and up to 28" waist .  Any size hips will work :)  The skirt front hem length is 46" can easily be adjusted by the use of heels and the size of your hoop. Small tucks can be taken around the skirt to shorten it without changing the design too much. . There is a 2" dust ruffle under the hemline to protect the skirt from damage.  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you.
