Brooks Brothers Black Tuxedo Jacket & Pants Size 40-42 Start Price USD 24.99 Current Price USD 24.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, September 02, 2008 End Time Tuesday, September 09, 2008 Location Orlando, FL See more about 'Brooks Brothers Black Tuxedo Jacket & Pants Size 40-42' Description I found this old tuxedo at an estate sale recently and thought it deserved a few more formal events in its lifetime so I'm offering it here.   There is a label in the jacket that says: Brooks Brothers, Established 1818, Dry Clean Only.   There is no other label to give the size or the fabric content, but here are some measurements:  When the button is fastened, the chest measurement is about 42 inches;  at the waist it is about 40 inches;   the sleeve length from top of the shoulder to the edge is 23 1/2 inches;  length from the back of the neck to the hem is 30 inches.    The jacket has three small satin-covered buttons on each sleeve, satin lapels, single vent in back.  Inside the jacket there is some damage to the lining below the sleeves as shown in the second photo,  but the outside of the jacket looks very fine - no worn or frayed areas, no stains, no tears.   The only tag in the pants is one that says "18" which makes me wonder if the pants are a women's size 18,  I just don't know.  There is no other manufacturer label in the pants.   The waist measurement is about 36 inches,  inseam is about 27 1/2 inches, with a 2 1/2 inch hem, so you could have them lengthened if necessary.  There is a satin stripe down the sides, no pleats in front, zipper works fine.  No stains or tears or marks.  On very close examination, I would have to say that the fabric of the pants and jacket appear to be the same, I just don't understand why there is no tag in the pants.   Anyway,  If you have any questions, please email me before you bid.  Oh,  I'll throw in a black satin bowtie, too, sorry I don't have the cumberbund.    Thanks for looking at my auction.
