My elderly aunt (she's mid 90s) purchased this set in Paris in a fine leather goods shop.  Inside the change purse, it reads: GANTS JOUVIN, 12? rue AUBER, Paris (Opera).  It sat safely in cloth bag for years in her walk in closet - since approximately the 1940s! She only used this set a couple of times and it is in EXCELLENT USED condition for its age with no rips, tears, cuts..has couple slight age stains but, not noticeable using a glass to inspect it and, it  definitely could be worn as is - individually or all together as is! IT IS RARE, ONE OF A KIND AND TRULY SPECTACULAR!!!  A very important Collection from Paris (see more history on Xavier Jouvin below)!  The handbag measures 10" wide 7" tall and 3" deep (satin lined with a satin change purse with red leather trim!! two sewn pockets inside and a full pocket behind the interior of this purse all beautifully white satin lined! It has cast brass (gold wash?) fittings. The red KID LEATHER on handbag and each of the six items that match are SOFT & SUPPLE. The workmanship is EXQUISITE AND DONE BY an Important Designer artisan and master craftsman in Paris years ago! The matching belt measures end to end 32" all leather backed, red kid leather trim and red white polka dot matching details; the scarf measures approx. 40" long and x 11" and has matching red leather edge around it, the matching Gloves have red kid leather palms and fronts red polka dot marked 6 1/2 (stretch a bit so could go a bit larger), has a matching flower for your hair or can make it a pin red polka dot flower red kid leather stem leaves, etc. 4" tall  3" wide - fabulous!!!  It would be perfect for day special occasion or evening wear!  EXTREMELY RARE FOR Lot of 6 FINE MATCHING PIECES:  $1,000.00 for set. You may never see a set such as this again in your lifetime...EXQUISITE AND SPECTACULAR! Happy Shopping! One more note of HISTORY on the JOUVIN family, after learning more about this elite 1940's Parisian designer from another wonderful ebayer.  I am not sure if or how related, but Xavier Jouvin was a glovemaker who apprenticed with his uncle in Grenoble, France, in the early to mid 1880's.  Xavier Jouvin (Grenoble, 1801-1844), then moved with his parents in Versailles and Paris. In 1818-1820 he returned to Grenoble where he studied also textiles. He continued glove making until 1830 when he began glovemaking exclusively, studying leathers and how to perfectly fit a glove.  As a medical student in Grenoble, he studied hands of his patients and eventually identified 320+ different sizes. He called his invention an iron hand, or "calibre."  This revolutionized the glove and textile industryby eliminating the need to make gloves custom per each person and instead could make batches by size!  This is a renowned family of French fine leather maker of gloves, etc. located in France and I believe its business has been passed on generationally.
