Christening Gown made of 100 % Silk Dupioni underdress w/ Silk Organza overlay and unique silk scalloped border.  Silk bodice with lace and ribbon insertion, detailed with silk-ribbon and floss embroidery. Long sleeves accented with lace and ribbon insertion. Completely constructed using French Heirloom sewing techniques - enclosed French seams throughout in the tradition of our grandmothers. Dress is fully lined with attached slip, which I will personalize with the baby's name and Christening date (included in price). Gown measures 36". Bonnet is Silk Dupioni, fully lined, and accented with silk ribbon rosettes - other styles of bonnet are available. Back closes with three mother-of-pearl buttons. Coordinating monogrammed blanket included.Silk Dupioni is an elegant heirloom fabric found only in specialty boutiques and custom dress shops. It is "pearl" white - a shade between bright white and off white - giving the gown a rich, creamy look. Natural silk fabrics have slubs which are an inherent part of the fibers - these should not be mistaken for flaws in the fabric. Only gowns made of natural fibers (silk, 100% cotton) are truly heirloom quality, and will not yellow with time. Care instructions, acid free tissue paper, and elegant padded hangar included.Garments are hand made for each customer, so please allow 10-14 days for delivery, unless arrangements have been made with me for a rush shipment.
